Cartridges for Planet Ark

VInet Solutions is strongly committed to reducing the impact of our industry on the environment and as part of this initiative we have joined forces with Planet Ark to reduce the number of used print cartridges headed for landfill. The Cartridges for Planet Ark program was initiated to help reduce the some 18 million (5,000 tonnes) of printer consumables that end up in our landfills each year by diverting them to recycling programs around the country. By sending your used consumables to VInet, this waste is diverted to new recycling programs that produce Zero Waste to Landfill. As a part of our corporate commitment to this program, we are extending involvement to our customers by offering to take away their used printer consumables for recycling and offering a 10% discount on purchasing a replacement cartridge just for doing so. It’s that easy!

To further extend the reach of the program we have also initiated our “VInet Keen on Green” for South Australian Schools. The program seeks to help schools divert their used printer consumables from the rubbish bin to VInet’s program for cartridge collection. In return the school will receive rulers directly manufactured from these cartridges making it a fun way for staff and students to physically see the results of the what a collective, community approach to recycling can do. The aim is to close the gap between recyclable items disappearing to recycling programs by giving students something tangible for which they can see the results of what such a program can do for the environment.

SA Great - Speakers in Schools

Michael Przytula, VInet Solutions Director - Strategy & Technology is an active member of the SA Great - Speakers in Schools program. The program features speakers, under the age of 40, from a diverse range of careers and backgrounds who are available to visit schools to share their personal and professional success stories with students.
